My friends would be really proud of me to see that I work in an upscale dentists office instead of at the corner grocery store as a clerk.

I just graduated from high school, and I want to start a career. Money means a lot to me, and I want to make sure that I do my very best to allow myself a good chance at earning money. I figured that if I have the chance to make money right away, then why not take it? Some people want to go to college first, but this is what I really want for myself right now. I will always have that opportunity to get more education if I choose to do it, but I think that it will be worth it for me to explore my options before I do anything too drastic. At least if I don’t like working, it will only be temporary and I can quit anytime I want.

There are times in history when famous architects become architects by mere chance and not by studying architecture. This is the case of Isidore of Miletus who was a famous architect and Anthemius of Tralles, one of the best mathematicians of his time.
This dynamic duo came together thanks to Emperor Justinian 1, they were commissioned to rebuild Hagia Sophia. The previous building was destroyed and burnt down in an anti-government riot. Justinian wanted to make the building invincible and hard to burn. He commissioned Isidore and Anthemius to make the building of any material that was not wood.
The combination of wits, Isidore’s knowledge of physic and Anthemius mathematical genius contributed to the creation of a massive dome. This dome is a representation of Byzantine architecture and technology. It stood as the largest (when it comes to surface area) church building for at least 1,000 years. This collaboration of physics and math made two people some of the most famous architects in history.
